Life's pressures can impede the learning process
Today's students face much more serious issues than their parents and teachers encountered only a few decades ago. Sex, drugs and violence are only a few of the problems that impede a student's ability to focus on academics. A wide variety of social and emotional issues create barriers to learning in schools across the country, affecting virtually every state and school district. Outreach Concern is a non-profit agency serving Los Angeles and Orange counties, providing much needed and very cost-effective counseling services for at-risk students.
