Outreach Concern fills a necessary need at our school. We don’t have academic counselors, so that function is handled by administrators and teachers. The Outreach counselors deal with personal and emotional issues so we can do our job as educators. I don’t know what we’d do without them.
— Don Ruisinger, Principal (Ethel R. Dwyer Middle School in Huntington Beach, CA)

A proven record of success for more than 30 years.

Outreach Concern is a non-profit 501(c)(3) counseling agency created to help students and their parents eliminate the barriers that impact their performance in the classroom. More than a third of today's students in grades K through 12 face issues that can adversely affect their ability to learn. Problems such as child abuse, sexual abuse, drugs, bullying, and parent/child conflict often manifest as classroom disruptions, poor attention, low grades and even self-destructive behavior. Outreach Concern is a school-based counseling agency that works with students on a confidential, one-on-one basis to help them overcome obstacles that impact classroom performance. We have a proven track record of making a significant difference in the lives of students and their families for more than 30 years. Based on a recent 10-year accountability study, Outreach Concern has demonstrated an overall 87% performance increase focused on academic, behavioral, emotional and social issues that impact student success.

FOR PARENTS

In almost every case, parental involvement is critical. It begins with approval for a student to see a counselor, but also requires direct communication between counselors, parents and teachers.
